They don't look too different size wise in the pic. So I would say go for it. Do you know what sex they both are? male and female should be fine, female and female should be fine.
But male and male can have complications, not always but it has been known

just a wee note aswell, u said u measured them from the mouth to the beginning of the tail, i assume thats the base of the tail connecting to the body, normally when people measure a scorps length they measure from the mouth to the tip of the stinger.

just to let you know Smile

bottom one looks like an asian forest; its claws are sleeker, i cant tell if theres much granulation, or hair.
is it an adult? looks overfed/gravid/ready to molt.

It looks like a juvenile going on sub-adult. They have less granulation than adults.

Gnat, what colour is the telson on the second one?

Gromgroms, after having a second look, i can see what you mean. The shape of the indentations on the carapace look a little different as well and i think i can see the telson as an orange colour implying adult. If so, then it is a het.

If not, will just have to wait for the molt ( assuming its not adult that is) and that next molt will either not happen if the telson is orange or will produce granulation on the chela confirming that it is an emp. Only time will tell, or gnat Razz

true
my subadult female emp doesnt look like that though, her claws especially, because she does have some gran. and hair, plus, those claws above are longer which, yeah, makes her look like an asian forest. dont take my word on it, wait for a molt

the color of the telson on the second scorp is light yellowish, i took a better look at it today and it looks like it has rough claws like the other one. im assuming its a P. imperitor as i bought it from the same place i got the other one from. as far as age goes, is the top scorp still sub-adult?

Probably subadult, also taking the size into account.

so i put both scorps together yesterday, they are closer in size than i thought, both are sub-adult and atleast one is female. the larger one on the bottom is the girl, after only 36 hours or so together they seem to be ok i guess, both sitting up together like this after completly changing substrate and rearanging the tank before introducing them together.the log they are one is two level, there is plenty of room under it to start a burrow, plus on the other side of the cage is a half-burried halflog that one could hide in
