i firstly thought that i had little black mites in my tank but it turns out they are tiny little crickets, one of the crickets must have layed eggs whilst she was in there, my main concern is could they cause harm to my adult female emp?? and how would i get rid of them??
thanks jordan

They're not dangerous, but they're annoying.

To get rid of them, you have a few options:

1) Wait for them to starve (messy, stinky)
2) Fill up the waterbowl and wait for them to drown (see above)
3) Put in drinking straws plugged at one end, remove when they hide in them (never tried this myself)

Aa thanks mordax:) il try the straw method because I have tried both of the above and they were only successful to some degree, my emp doesn't seem to mind them in there but I think it looks messy:( thanks for the advice:)

If you put something sugary in the straw it may help attract them into the straws, but they do like to hide in them so its not necessary lmao
