| Ok, after sexing my nine 4i emps I have discovered that they are all female apart from one of them. Do emps normally give birth to prodominantly one sex or is this just a massive coincidence?
The only background reading i can find on this is that they normally give birth to a ratio of 1:1??
Edit: I have just read that the sex ratio of babies is not temperature dependant for this sp either? | |

| Did you have deaths from this brood? It's possible you were just unlucky and males died. | |

One scorp was eaten before i could sex it and that might imply that a couple others (i was adamant that i had about 15) at the start but only ever found remains of the one i know was eaten - so i guess its possible. Quite unusual then i take it?  | |
