She wouldn't eat the peppers. I don't think a chili plant would harm her. However, plants require UV light, and constant exposure to UV can stress out the scorp. It helps that they stay under hides during the day though.

you could try something along the lines of this...

plants in the tank?? EmpGarden

which is what I use in my emp exxoterra....

Unfortunately to maintain it indoors, would require constant light if you're using a regular florescent tube... and some source of running water... which is rather complicated and considerable hassle. Not to mention the fact that the constant light exposure will be detrimental to observing natural scorpion behavior....

This is also what I use in my H. spinifer tank...

plants in the tank?? Communitygarden3

these plants tend to deteriorate after about 4 months with the occasional cricket or roach munching on its leaves

Scorpions are carnivorous and so they won't eat any vegetation.

But like what has been said, it would be detrimental to do so and creates a lot of hassle, so personally I would decide against it. A better option would be one of the examples shown in the above post - still quite difficult but some obviously manage just fine Wink Smile

Chilli actually emanates an invisible acidic vapor which in smaller animals might cause uncomfortable irritation. Just a thought

i've got this pothos
http://www.cbgarden.org/blog/wp-content/uploads/image/Renata%20Pictures/pothos%5B1%5D.jpg

in my tank and it's doing great. They grow pretty fast and look nice. Just don't dry it out w/ a heat bulb (placed on op or at it) and make sure to mist it often. Watering the plant once a week or so is good. I have mine in a pot buried in the substrate, don't know how it will do in coco fiber substrate though, but this plant can sprout roots in water alone and continue to grow, so maybe it can survive.

just google Pothos and you should get a variety of them. They are very common in garden stores. You can find them easily at Home Depot or Osh.

A 92 liter tank is great for them too as they grow a lot and will continue to crawl on the substrate floor. Don't hesitate to trim the plant down a bit either, you can use the cut stems to grow new plants. I didn't even do anything w/ the plant when I got it, I just buried the pot in the substrate and watered into the pot every week and misted every now and then. I placed my tank where the plant would get indirect sunlight as well. In all, a great house plant as well.
