Feeders for babies scorps

So I know the options are fruitflys and pinhead but I cant seem to keep fruitflys under control. Will the actually eat head crushed crickets if I give them one?

Usually . . . what species are we talking about here?

If you can find genuine pinheads, they're small enough for (probably) even the smallest baby scorpions.

Most small-to-medium babies would be fine on two-week old crickets or small roach babies.

Larger babies (emps, Heterometrus, etc.) could probably take on medium or large headcrushed crickets or roaches.

I feed almost exclusively roaches.

Why?

They're ridiculously easy to breed.

I have 2nd instar C.Hentzi atm and need to feed them I tried fruit flies and ended up killing like half of them because they got loose.. I still live with my parents albeit I am 21 my mom would kill me if I had roaches in her house lol.

A large number of roach species can't climb smooth sheer surfaces (plastic, glass, etc.), however, hissing roaches as you observed are not one of them.

While B. dubia can't climb smooth surfaces, their smallest young are a little too big for 2I C. hentzi. I would suggest either 2-week-old crickets -- most petstores carry them, probably listed as pinheads -- or lobster roaches. (I forget the scientific name at the moment.) Lobsters are great in that their juveniles are TINY, and make a great feeder for even the smallest scorps.

There are two downsides to lobsters, however.
1) They climb sheer surfaces, so you must coat the upper two inches of the tank's interior with Vaseline (petroleum jelly) to prevent escape. This is quite effective.
2) They breed so easily that they are one of the very few feeder roach species that presents a risk of infestation should any escape.

The latter of these could be problematic while living at home. Probably best to stick to baby crickets.

Alternatively, if you have the fruit flies still, you can make feeding easier by
1) tapping the container against a hard surface a few times to knock most of them away from the lid before you open it
2) sticking the container in the fridge for a few minutes prior to feeding to slow them down

maybe I shall retry fruitflies but put them in the refrigerator first lol I didnt even think about that.

How many pinheads should I feed them and how often if anyone knows for scorpions in general.

Feed them as often as they'll accept prey. I only remember to feed mine every few weeks, but they'd probably take prey if I tried more frequently.

I was going to make a topic, but I looked around first. Is it safe to put pinhead crickets in the fridge? I already hate dealing with escaped crickets, and it is very hard for me to get crickets economically.. So could pinheads go in the fridge until feeding?

I recently bought baby mealworms, so I am hoping they will fair well. I removed scorplings from their current habitat where I couldn't see them, and placed them in a smaller container with a damp paper towel and climbing material. (B. jacksoni)

The fridge should work fine to slow them down. Just don't place them too near the back if you have an unevenly-cooled fridge (stuff in the back of our fridge has a tendency to freeze).

I found one local shop with pin heads and been feeding with those.
