well... from the little i know they are apparently from india and the philippines somewhere and that sp is the only sp in the Chaerilidae family. I think their surroundings and enclosures are similar to `jungle` scorpions like Heterometrus or Pandinus, but I could be wrong, like you said theres not alot of info, and i`m just going off what i can remember from when i was researching a bunch of scorpions all at once.

i think theres 4 or 5 scorpions in the Chaerilidae family, i would have to look them up, but i know of Chaerilus rectimanus, and Chaerilus Celebenses<--(think that's how you spell it) i know there's others but i can't think of the names. I like the look of their claws though, nifty scorpions but really tough to find in the pet trade from my experience.

And yea it's "Chaerilus" i'm thinking that you're thinking of because i don't recall a "Cheilures", but like i've said in other posts i'm not a huge expert so I could be wrong, i've just done some research on a bunch of species in my down time.

Twenty species in one genus.

Humid, under debris, rarely found in captivity. Probably why you're having a hard time finding info.

Ok cool! Well I have one and now it seems a bit pointless trying to get it id'ed. Thanks for the info and clearing up the spelling of the name. Hope it was just mis-spelt
