I found 4 of these scorps in Chico, California. I haven't been able to ID them so I thought I should try here Smile Any help is appreciated.

WAaaayyy off.

My best guess would be some sort of Vaejovis sp. or Paruroctonus sp., but that's the best I can offer. Check out Kari McWest's state-by-state index to see what shows up (which can be kind of difficult as California has more species than any other state).

Paruroctonus silvestrii is my guess. But they all look the same to me.

I think you are right about it being Paruroctonus silvestrii. I didn't know they were in that area. Are they communal at all?

Thanks
Kevin
