Ok so those of you who have seen my threads know im about 5 months into owning my first 2 emp's, about 2 months into owning my first tarantula, and now i have another, as far as latin names go im useless but on the box stated "South african flat rock scorpion"

Im not sure of sex or age, i think its about a year and a half at a guess as thats what my emps are nearly and he/shes abit bigger. Or maybe they grow faster or slower than eachother i dunno no clue lol.

Ok so here he/she is, i picked up for just £10 which i find a fairly decent price, heres some pics:

As you can see he/she is currently on bark chips as i have no other substrate, ill try get some more cocoa fibre soon, any help with my new scorp is appreciated, thanks Smile

Edit: Forgot to say sorry about quality, all taken on my phone lol

Dried out cocofibre or sand is fine. So hard to get hold of males!

plus they like to hide between tight gaps and spaces so layered or stacked cork or secure slate is good too

well i might mix some bark chips in with it, or make part of the enclosure bark, probably the bit around the waterbowl, maybe that way might not get dirty so quick lol.

And yeah i hear males grow alot bigger? I had hopes it was male Sad lol

And yeah im gonna try get some rocks together and make some sort of hide soon
