| not literally though.
Guys, what are the main differences between emps and i think "red claws"
my scorp has red claws under brighter light and is quite aggressive, and seeing as how the pet shop didnt know all two much, im wondering whether they misold the species to me. So what are the other perhaps more subtle differences?

So . . . does this mean Connie's info confirmed it as P. cavimanus? P. cavimanus -- telson same color as metasoma, relatively ungranulated chela, overall much more brown: P. imperator -- telson lighter color than metasoma, heavily granulated chela, very black overall:

| The idiot I bought my cavi's from had two of them housed with a handfull of Imp's. They all were getting along fine surprisingly. The cavimanus will not get near as large as the P.imps but they are really skiddish and defensive. The chela of the cavi's is more of a rusty/brown color when exposed to light. Thats the female on top of the frog fussing at her husband down in front. He must have forgot to take out the trash.. I've had the two adults for about 2.5 Yrs and they are about 4". | |

| naw SNAFU's are Cavimanus, i've got a male as well, looks identical. Plus like i've said in another post, Viatoris tend to lean more towards Exitialus coloring, like that rust/orange color than a cav's dark red | |
