| So, getting another emp so the current one can have a girlfriend.
They will be in a much larger tank etc... with seperate hides etc... but heres my question..
Should i move my male in alone as soon as its ready then wait for the female, or wait a while and introduce them to the new tank together?

| Always introduce at the same time imo. That gives them left of a chance to feel one is "intruding" on the others space. | |

| put them in together, at the same time. Im not saying physically at the same time..but put one in and then the other one right after and then sit back for 10 minutes and watch their behaviour. But pandinus normally calm down and settle..unless there is a huge difference in size | |

| Hi...I have a very bad experience with two different sized emps first meeting in theire "community tank" Yes! They were introduced to the tank together, and all seemed okay for 10minutes. Then a fight broke loose, and of course the smallest scorpion is the easiest prey! It was eaten alive almost I lost a fine emperor scorp on that mistake!!!! Is it a good idea to feed off emps before ethey meet in the tank? I do not want cannibalism to happen again, if avoiding it is simple!!! | |

| Well, am planning that they be the same size so fights are less likely to occur. Feeding them may prevent this although think back... did the bigger scorp eat the smallerone, or simply kill it? | |

| I had my female before i decided on getting a male, i decided to take the female out, re-arrange the whole tank, then put both in, and yeah like people are saying you dont wanna just bun a new one in there cause the otherone wouldn't be very happy lol.
There will obviously be some fights to decide whos boss, i dunno about other peoples but where mine are both sub-adults watching them fight is quite amusing cause they're not very good at fighting eachother, they try to sting eachother but constantly miss lol, but for the first few days i did stop them from stinging eachother, but they settled happily in the same hide after about 2 weeks

| My best guess is you have a highly territorial gravid female. They're known to be a lot more aggressive with tankmates. Sorry for your loss. | |

| i have a communtiy of six emperors, 4 females and 2 males. The only conflict ive seen is when the males is trying to mate while they are eating.
ive introduced them over a period of weeks and they seem to be fine. guess some emperors are just loners???
