Yes, he eats like a horse and I have to be careful not to over-feed. Thanks to all^

Awesome AA, Paper! I can honestly say that I'm a bit jealous because I've wanted one for a while now.

Is that a different morph?

From the research that I have done, it leans toward the "Libya" version depending on what you read. Fortunate to get one because it supposedly came from Egypt and they must have lifted their ban on exporting dangerous exotics.

Yes I did and he is in the porcess of molting. He is setting out in the open for a change and I am watching him "like a hawk" insuring everything goes well. I have another Androctonus I am watching; this one has mycosis but, believe it or not, is receeding/drying up if thats possible. He is very agressive and still eats "like a horse".

Incredible scorpions.

I'm sure they don't really need to be on DWA... Laughing

That's a beautiful scorp, but sadly it's one of the extremely few I would would probably not own because of the aggressiveness/venom potency. Though I would like alot of the other Androctonus spp., how's it with, say, dropping food in with forceps. Does it attack the forceps at all?

No, just a little reluctance and the defensive posture, the A. australis does not. On the other hand, the A. amoreuxi is a agressive predator that has attempted to climb the forceps to get to the source of the harassment eventhough once the cricket hit the substrate he is content.

Funny . . . my A. amoreuxi was always hiding under its bark. I never saw it out and it stayed perfectly still when I checked on it. Always shy and calm, even when I was packing it up to send to someone.
