I've had a wee tank setup for transfering my H. Petersii babies into after i remove them from mum and the wee tanks got kinda mouldy over the last couple days im just wondering if woodlice would stress the babies out or if they would eat them at all if i put some in to controll the mould

P.S Im removing the babies rather than keeping them with mum cause i need to put the male back into the tank cause I have nowere else to keep him for any length of time.

Woodlice are good cleaners, but if the scorpions are extremely small, the woodlice may mistake the scorpions for "organic debris" and eat them. I've encountered this at least once.

I doubt it will be a problem with something as large as Heterometrus -- just don't use really big woodlice.

You might want to consider the fact that they might have pesticides or parasites or mites on them if you are taking them straight from the garden.

They might need to be bred for a couple of generations.

The only other risk is parasites . . . hopefully minimized if your scorps don't eat them.

You can find springtails in your garden too, if you look closely enough. Look for little silvery-white flecks that bounce around.

The easiest way to catch them is with a good-sized vial on its side and just sort of "herd" them towards it. Usually you can get some to hop right in.

i can see that becoming tedious likes lol i think theres loads of spring taisl in my millipede tank cause i left a bit of paper towel in her tank after she wouldnt let go of it and it had loads of springtails on it when i removed it but it doesnt seem like theyre doin much good to the mould cause there was quite a bit in there the other dya so i added woodlice n they have got rid of all of it.
