Would 3 emps be too much for a 10gal tank, or would I be better off with just 2? If so I'll probably just get 2 emps and get another arizona bark scorpion, but from what I have read, as long as there is as many hides as there is scorpions, they should be fine. Is that true?

You could fit two or maybe three, but I wouldn't go with any more than that.

two to three would be fine in there. make sure you have at least 3 hides. They will probably all sleep in the same hide together but its nice to give each one the option to get away from the others

Three is fine in a 10 gallon. I've done it before with success Smile

Btw, your substrate looks too dry. You should mix some h2o in with it Wink

Do you have something on top of the tank to hold the humidity in? If not, I suggest using a sheet of glass, plastic, or maybe even some saran wrap. The glass method is the easiest. Saran wrap can become a pain in the butt. Personally I use the glass method with a bit of ventilation.

And i hear a good rule is to add 5gal per scorp, but then im no expert

Five gallons per scorp is a good rule of thumb, +/-. And I know a lot of people recommend restricting ventilation, but I really don't like it as a way of maintaining humidity because the reduced airflow can be detrimental. If you're going to be away for a long time I'd suggest investing in a false-bottom setup. They're heavy but they can keep the humidity up longer than dumping water alone can.

I use cling film/saran wrap or whatever. It does the job but probably might invest in some glass, as my tank isnt deep enough for a flase bottom Sad
