| So, from what i know, scorpions don't regenerate lost limbs like tarantulas does. But i was wondering if depends of the scorp species. I have a b. jacksoni, who just molted yesterday, and somehow, another one managed to get to him, and munched on his left chela, until i've noticed and removed the attacker. The munched arm was useless, so i've had to cut it off, because it was just hanging there, underneath the scorp body, and i want to know if there is any chance that the little one will recover his lost arm, considering that is just a 3I. |

| Nope, won't regenerate.
This is also why people recommend housing barks separately until after they mature. _________________ If your emperor scorpion stops eating, don't panic. | My reviews | My Bug Pictures | My blog Be nice -- you were a noob once, too "Never ask an engineer to explain something, because he will." |

| They have been separated in a tool box with compartments, but somehow the other one managed to get in the next compartment. Oh well, i'm glad that i saved the little one for now, and hope that he will be alright for the rest of his life. |

| Depends on how bad the wound is really. catching prey might also be a problem but then again the prey can always be incapacitated or injured in some way. |

| Keep an eye. Scorpions can sometimes "bleed" to death. But if its not ozzing you might be alright and just have a scorpion missing an arm. |

Gotcha. I had some female mordax with sub-par partitions that they kept crossing . . . I separated them into individual tanks less than a month before they started popping. _________________ If your emperor scorpion stops eating, don't panic. | My reviews | My Bug Pictures | My blog Be nice -- you were a noob once, too "Never ask an engineer to explain something, because he will." |
