| Our stupid snake got out in the middle of the night and strangled the baby," the caller said
Darnell told deputies this was not the first time the python escaped from its terrarium. He said it had happened as recently as earlier Wednesday morning.
Well! they should have made sure it was locked away properly so this sort of thing doesnt happen. Careless owner and now a baby girl is dead |

| Whenever one of my animals works out how to open the viv doors... I get a lock on them. I have 3 kids so it is common sense to do so to prevent accidents.
It is an unfortunate accident, but when you have young kids you do have to take extra precautions where necessary. Large snakes will look at the kids running around as 'food' |

| that is sad.. you have to consider the consequences of keeping such a large animal that could basically eat yor kid. I mean, if it has escaped, you aren't keeping it properly. and the consequences this will have on the reptile community.. everyone will think "big evil animal that loves killing children" when they see a snake. |

| The biggest problem I see is that the snake had escaped a bunch of times before.
And the last time that happened was at NOON that day~! |
