monitoring on pc

hi,

hope i've put this in the right place

i'm interested in remote monitoring my scorpion and wondered if anyone has any advice about good software/techniques etc? i noticed on this post
sm6xvz has got temperature/humidity data and thought i could combine with webcam/motion detecting, all accessible online.

what can i say, i love metadata.

Technology is fun
I have now disconneted all online sensors. Reson for that was the computer has to be on all the time and I find out that was not so logical in my wallet....

The stuff I used was 1-wire sensors from Texas

I built everything by myself at work, so it was 2 temperature sensors and a hygrometer

run a program in the PC to log and publish all to my website

ofcourse I also had an LCD display above the terrarium who show me the current valvues

hadn't thought about the cost, that's a good point! i think i'll give it a trial and see how it goes.

and as for your english - a) its far better than my swedish b) i'm a primary school teacher and its better than some other teachers i know
