Woke up to something nice

Hey guys, my female crested gecko laid some eggs! I'm kinda new to egg care for cresties now I have already moved the eggs to a container with peat moss (did my best to not rotate the eggs). If there is anyone of you guys with crested gecko egg care knowledge? Can I use peat moss as a sub medium for incubating or should I really go out and get some perlite or vermiculite?

Im no expert on herps but I heard it's best to use vermiculite.

I'm finding out that crested gecko eggs are pretty sturdy. Another month and they should hatch. I could already see some movement in the eggs.

Ok that was a surprise. One egg hatched already, pretty cute little guy. I'll put pics up later or maybe when the other is out is the egg.

Thats what I thought I read it take about 70-80 days. But this little guy I guess wanted out(50 days). Looks pretty healthy, I'm new to hatching baby crested geckos. Sorry in advance the pics are big. Couldn't find the good camara had to settle with the cell phone camara and sorry for the quality the little guy really would not stop moving.

No, not yet. I hope the second egg is ok it looks like it's ready to hatch soon. But then again the first hatchling
came out early. I'm going by what most sites say should take 70-80 days that put them roughly May 24th ish.
My female just dropped another clutch today one of the eggs has a dent in it but the other looks good.
I move them both to my incubation container time will only tell if egg 2 in clutch 2 will make it.
I'm optimistic that the second egg will bounce back crested eggs are hardy.

What are the Temps these sites are saying for 70-80 days? Higher temps faster hatch rates.
