does any one know the scientific name of the stripe tail scorpion commonly found in arizona?i know its a vaejovis sp. but is it V. carolinianus or coahuilae, confusus, spinigerus thanks for you imput in advance

its not vaejovis anymore its hoffmanius and i think its probably referring to spinigerus as they have the stripiest tails, but it could be anything as scorpion common names are inaccurate and dont really mean much

yeah, I think it is Hoffmanius spinigerus formerly known as V.spinegerus. I'm pretty sure those are the species commonly labeled "devil striped tailed scorpion" In pet shops.

Yes the common name is the "striped tail" is the Vaejovis spinigerus, although as pointed out it goes under the new name "Hoffimanius".
