| I was getting ready to leave for work this morning. While putting on my shoes I looked up at my first pair of Hadogenes paucidens (the one who birthed a while back and had sand impacted sand around her mouth) in their communal tank and it looked like they were fighting, but since I was late for work I couldn't stick around a watch. So I left thinking I'd only have one left when I got home. So finally at home I looked in expecting to see the victor and victim this is what was there... So what, in about 2 years she'll pop? |

| its a spermatophore. The male sticks it onto a flat surface and during mating pushes the female onto it. That is how the male "knocks up" a female xxxx | |

| To the best of my knowledge, it comes out of his genital operculum (the thing between the pectines) and he anchors it to a solid surface before guiding the female over it.
I have no idea how big it is (I've yet to see one in person). | |
