Black flies in my scorpion tank.

I noticed a lot of TINY black flying insects in my scorpions tank a while ago.

Im new to keeping anything besides a dog so any information on them and a way to get rid of them. Any help is appreciated thank you.

i have a few of those in my tank too. I'm pretty sure they're just attracted to the leftovers (insect parts). They're no real threat, but if you want to help the situation, try to remove the food remnants.

We get those sometimes. really annoying. just change the substrate and then they shall all vanish...after a few tank changes since they lay eggs in the substrate
I also think its the water bowl too so change that daily

Alright but they wont kill the scorpion? Its a baby like 8 months old 2 inches long

you should take leftover insect parts out right away anyways.

Just get some woodlice (pill bugs) to clean up the leftovers for ya.

but the flies are not the end of the world, or the end of your scorpions. They are nothing but annoying
