Two for six . . . not bad. Very Happy I hope the other four pop soon for you.

The male communal setup is pretty cool.

Hehe, Ladies dorm and the boys frat.... That was n old photo. I moved the boys after cos the tank cracked at the bottom. I have a suspicion that the female in cubicle 6 may something other than spinifer. I'll put up some shots for re-id.

I'm quite convinced that at least 2 of the remaining 4 are gravid. But this means I'll have replenishing colony of giant spinnys.

I intends to confirm the myth that spinnys don't grow as large in captivity as they do i the wild. So if the offspring of these giants never reach the size of their parents, that is confirmed.

Thanks for your approving comments. If there are any ideas on anything I can do more, pls let me know.

Mike I'm sorry the breeding report doesn't have specific dates, humidity or temp. I don't regulate the temperature here and humidity is not really a tough thing to maintain living in a tropical country. I do however suggest that most of these scorpions like it on the cool side as oppose to warm. The only time they come out for sun is the early morning rays to get their metabolism going. So cool and humid as oppose to warm and humid that I've seen in most caresheets for spinnys. Then again I'm aware my border lines for temperature may be somewhat different to the perspective of people living in colder countries. Emps like it a lot hotter from my friends' opinion. Similarly I think longimanus likes it considerably cooler than spinnys do. The overall night time temperature in Borneo island is lot cooler than the Peninsula.

Once again thanks guys

I don't really care too much if exact temp / humidity is given -- more like a vague range whereabouts. Smile

I forget what all your report contained already, but the main things I think are helpful to include are dates of acquisition / mating (if known) / birth / molt to 2I / number of offspring.

Feel free to update your report as subsequent molts and births occur. Very Happy
