it's weird but fantastic when you can perform with fire.

Want to STRESS that playing with fire toys is a skill that must be practised with non flammable objects first. Would be irresponsible of me to go on talking without mentioning that first!

Mike do you find that when you do stuff like that quick enough you feel like you are inside a bubble of heat? or your hand is anyway.

When i do fire poi it's like I am stood inside of a big warm bubble. looks incredible to people who are watching but feels rather mad to the person doing it.

Lisa, my hands get incredibly hot incredibly fast, but that's it. Brandon, the guy in that video must have THICK calluses on his hands, 'cause no one that we've done this with could hang on to it as long as in the video.

It was mostly grab-and-toss; one guy there could roll it around in his cupped hands without a problem. It's tough to easily toss and catch repeatedly 'cause the ball is such a small target (try playing catch with a tennis ball vs. a ping-pong ball).

Oh, and don't try this while intoxicated . . . which all of us were . . .

IIRC, you take a piece of 100% cotton (t-shirt; cut a piece of it up into a square), bunch it up, take a piece of 100% cotton thread, thread it through the middle of the ball, then all around it. After all that you take Ronsin lighter fluid, soak it, then light it and have fun.

I don't think it's supposed to burn you unless you touch the top of the flame lol.

It was way too hot for anyone that was there to hold it more than a second or so -- and the guy in that video was holding it on the sides as well, IIRC.

I learned how to blow fireballs a.k.a. Gene Simmons. It is very dangerous to play with fire, but once you know what you are doing it is a blast! The heat is pretty intense.
