| both of these scorpions are bothriuruids, from chile I belive. these species and genera in general seem to be more sensitive to captive conditions than other species, sudden changes seem to be pretty bad for them.
they should be kept relatively cool, around 70* 78* at most.. and they should be kept dry. probably a substrate of coco fibre would be fine, I think Brachistosternus likes to burrow to some extent though.

| thanks i ordered then earlier this evening
i know the temps, feeding and housing requirments but ive never really heard much more..
i am a bit worried now, if their not good with sudden changes... are they going to be ok in the post :S the place ive ordered them from has a good reputation as far as im aware but the last scorp i ordered did pass away 2 months ish after receiving him? so didnt know whether i could blame it on the delivery or just being unlucky...

| well, this is the way I would pronounce it;
Brach - esto - sternus knee - grei.
obviously it varies and such between accents and such.

| once you get into it, the names get easier to pronounce.
I dont know if i pronounce all the names right, I just stand corrected at shows when someone tells me how it should be said lol. But some of them can be tongue twisters!
I seriously couldn't get my tongue around 'cyriopagapus' (tarantula) for ages so I just called ours snagglepuss!
