havent fed her for 3 or 4 months as she keeps refusing food... but she is huge! she is a W/C adult female (i think).
it could be possibly subadult but i have never seen an adult...

all scorpions have low metabolisms, and can enter periods of what is essentially suspended animation, which is unlike hibernation in mammals, because this condition can be adopted by the scorpion at will, and can be shrugged off at will as well. simply put it is a resting position that is so efficient that in some species, the bodies metabolism is actually able to slow down lower than the metabolism of a carrot. a preson i knew once had a scorpion (vaejovis spp. i think) that was in a sealed delicup that became lost when it got knocked behind a piece of furniture, and wasnt discovered for six months. in that six months the scorpion survived without food water or oxygen, and upon being rediscovered simply drank and ate a meal, then returned to normal. growth without feeding is not a sign that necessarily means the animal is gravid, as growth can still occur without feeding if the scorpion is immature. honestly, something about your scorpion makes me believe its not matured yet. my opinion is that it looks like it has another moult to go, and that it is not gravid. but really, looking at a pic of a fat scorpion rarely provides any answers that amount to guesswork at best, so i wouldnt put too much stock in any answers.
