| Thanks! The python pic was just a random. I didn't even intend on his tongue sticking out like that! | |

| I'll see if I can get some good ones with this cheap Polaroid camera tomorrow. I think I've already disturbed her too much today. Keep in mind that she's been gravid for a long time now and I've no idea when she's going to pop.
What's the best method of getting a shot of the underside? Flash sucks when you're trying to capture a shot in between a clear container.

| Seeing them in the sunlight like that, you can really see why they call B. albopilosum "curly-hair" tarantulas. For getting a shot of your Bothriurus sp. try using a flatbed scanner if you have one. Otherwise, photographing at an angle should prevent the flash from reflecting directly back at the camera. | |

If there weren't an internet between us, I'd smack you upside the head. That usually only SEEMS like a good idea while intoxicated but trust me you never want to do that. Especially when it seems like a good idea. I've been drug away from my open LQ tank a few times...

Especially when it seems like a good idea. I've been drug away from my open LQ tank a few times... I've held one after a bit of drinking and I'll never do it again. Pretty sure I got a dry sting from it or something because he flipped himself over with his tail. I was scurred. I was going to get a handling shot/vid last night, but after feeding he became VERY sting-happy!!! He was stinging everything in sight! I only handle them when they appear to be calm. He didn't even move when he was on my hand. Anyway ...

| You can never predict when a scorpion's going to be calm or not . . .
Frankly, it's a stupid idea all around.
