| My girlfriends gonna be buying me a new scorp tomorrow (dunno why cause she always says i have to many creatures  ) And theres 3 in the shop i have my eye on those 3 are: Hadrurus Arizonensis What they have labeled as "Devil Scorp" (Tityus sp.?) and what they have labeled as "Desert Scorp" Mr. Mordax says is most likely V. Spingerus. I just had the idea to nip down just now and take some pics to show you so i cna get an ID on the devil n desert scorp. so ill be posting pics in a wee while. | |

| I would guess the "devil scorpion" and "desert scorpion" are common names for vaejovid scorpions. certianly won't be Tityus Sp, another buthid. I would go for any, they all sound cool.  | |

| ^Agreed with that possibility -- V. spinigerus is sometimes called the "stripetailed devil scorpion" or similar.

| I only thought they were tityus cause my scorp book has a section on devil scorps and theyre tityus accordin to the book. I went in n had a look, the adult H. Arizonensis is gone  The desert scorp, they say, is an H Arizonensis but its tiny so i dont believe it but the guy foned they spider shop (where they got it from) and the guy said it was an H.A still pretty sceptical though cause juvenile H.As are almost impossible to get. the "Devil" scorp is a Veajovis Carolinianus. They wouldnt let me take pics (dont see why not) so i cant supply pics for you guys. so ill buy one 2moz then get you to identify it so i know what im dealing with. They also have 2 2-3 instar H. Swammerdamis there but theyre costly and i'd want the pair so i dunno. | |
