UV - Bean Weevils Empty
PostSubject: UV - Bean Weevils   UV - Bean Weevils Empty1/29/2009, 9:19 am

while doing a check of the smaller scorps with the blacklight, i noticed loads of little white dots (slightly lighter than the bean) on the beans and assumed they were eggs or something.
so, i shined the blacklight on them and they glowed! not like what something white does, it was just like a scorp.
i thought that only scorps can do this... ???
Suspect

So what sort of organism are we talking about?

Lots of fungi fluoresce.

Could have just been part of the plant . . . or some random thing that was on it.

i think it is some kind of fungus, coz its only on the ones that the weevils have completely hollowed out...
