I feel as though its not keeping much humidity in there.
Im fairly new at this, im used to the desert hairs I catch which are easy to maintain.
Ive seen in some set ups where they put what looks like fish tank gravel on the bottom then the soil on top.
I spray the tank and the soil but it just seems to dry a bit. Its moist and warm but doesnt seem to be what its at.
I have a screen lid, which could be the problem I have something over it to keep airflow but to try and keep it humid.
Really just curious about the rocks though is that a more efficient set up?
Possibly I just dont have enough soil.
Any vice on a better set up would be nice
Thanks in advance!

yeah the gravel at the bottom means it is a false bottom style enclosure. you have a water tube going down to it and you just top it up with water once the level has dropped

Although after a while it can look dry on the top, there is loads of humidity under the surface where the scorpion needs it. only an occasional misting is required, not a daily misting.

So less maintenance. only time you need to clean out is if the substrate starts going a bit manky.

The problem is you're misting to keep humidity up -- misting does almost nothing, as it all evaporates shortly after.

Just dump some water on the substrate. It'll absorb it and keep it humid a lot longer. False-bottoms are nice, but they're REALLY heavy.

Also, unless you have a high-quality digital humidity gauge at soil level, don't trust any gauges.

just pour water onto the substrate and you can spray. I do both because it gets some into the air before it goes into the air from the substrate
