| I just got my first Emp today and got it all set up in a ten gal.
I am curious as to how i would go about sexing it.....
I am going to post pictures of it on here tomorrow but i would like to know what you look at, and make my own attempt at it, then get checked by the kind and caring souls of this forum.
Is there any good info on anatomy?
What would make a stable diet for it besides just gut loaded crickets?
I am new to scorps and want to soak up any useful info that i can get on the subject....

| As far as sexing goes, you have to look at the pectines on the underside. get it in a clear deli cup or something and take a picture of the underside of the scorp. Someone here should be able to sex it for you. | |

| males generally have longer, more slender pectines than females. the genital operculum of the male is an oval shape, the females' is a heart shape. the best way to sex pandinus imperator is operculum shape.

| is it the number of pectines or the size of them?
i want to be able to sex it myself so i don't have to rely on others to do it for me. | |

| I checked him out with a magnifying glass and i am 99 percent sure he is a male. i have run into some issues with my camera but it is clear enough that i will just leave it at that.
