[checks vid] My best guess is defensive tail-flicking. I've seen a few species do something similar when I tried feeding them and they weren't hungry -- it's like they're viewing the prey as a threat and not food.

I took the food away thinking it wanted to molt.

lol that vid was quite funny! I've seen emps and spins vibrate and bash the floor with their peds when they weren't hungry but never saw one doing an impression of tigger and his bouncy tail!

My hottentotta does that when i blow on it...so i second Mike as its probly something defensive

So, I was told that scorpions slam their metasoma when they are about to molt.

Mine did a few days later this video.

So I guess that's another confirmation for that theory.
