So after spending a bunch of time with Google, and looking over the Scorpion files and other common sites, I have been unable to determine the answer to one of my Hadrurus questions:

What are the distinguishing differences between a Hadrurus arizonensis and a Hadrurus obscurus???

Are there any resources that go into detail about the Hadrurus genus?

Ok finally found something.

THE TAXONOMY OF THE GENUS HADR UR US BASED ON CHELA TRICHOBOTHRIA

So this is a limited look, but I found it interesting to note that the H. obscurus generally matched the H. spadix based on the analysis of the trichobothria. From looking at pictures online it seems that the h. obscurus "mask" is forward and more angled and less crisp looking than the H. arizonensis.

So this leads to the next thought: Is is possible that the H. obscurus is the result of mixed breeding between H. arizonensis and H. spadix?

I did notice that the mask was more towards the front.
