I was looking at the scorpion files today and stumbled accross a picture of an absolutely beautiful pictureof one! Has anyone ever kept these? Google.com left me empty handed on information.

Thanks

I saw an ad for second-instars at $25 apiece. That's the ONLY time I've seen them offered, and then they turned out to be misidentified C. margaritatus.

Thanks. Crazy how cheap scorps are compared to snakes and even tarantulas.

If someone's selling an adult, ask for pics.

If they're selling 2Is, ask for pics of the parents.

The Centruroides margaritatus "bicolor" morph can easily be mistaken for C. bicolor, but if you compare it to the photo mentioned in the first post of this thread, you'll be able to see differences.

(To find that photo, just look up Centruroides bicolor on the ScorpionFiles.)

Good ideas. Though I wouldn't mind either way. They are both beautiful!

90% of the time you would turn up with a c. marg morph

if you want C. bicolor your gonna have to travel to panama and catch one
i have only seen one person with the real ones in captivity and he wouldnt send me any
