Can I put the heat source(ligh bulb with dome) upside down so it is under the scorpions since I have shelves that are made of wire-like things kind of like a grills.

You can place it in any direction you want.

You might have the UTH effect, though (burrowing to escape heat backfiring).

I suppose on some dessert species but undertank heaters are never really good you want them on the side or the top (preferably the side)
