just a header; these scorps are extremely slow growers, and they can live for a very long time.

and from what I heard they are very boring. Embarassed

oi dont pick on my favourite scorpions!

Ok they may not be the most visually stimulating scorpions as far as movement is concerned but there is something quite funny about feeding day when they sit in their crevice with two long claws stuck out, swiping a cricket and vanishing again.

Although they do go for a long wonder on a night time Smile

Oh and if you keep them in a glass enclosure they are very good at doing Morse code in the middle of the night Smile so if you are keeping them in your bedroom be warned Wink

I've had problems with my wee one when it coem t noise, it really loves tapping as much as it can when it goes on a wander, im having trouble feeding mine but ill post that somewhere else so i dont hijack the thread lol.

And yeah they are slow growers I heard they can take 7 years to reach maturity and can live for 25 at a stretch.

As or setups i just use dried coco fibre with 2 peices of inner cork bark to make a wee crack it can hide in, its pretty basic but it seems to work as for heat the substrate is only 1.5cm thick so i put the mat underneath and it works fine for me, but mines is a juvenile and thus in a small pet keeper so i'm not sure if it would work as well for a bigger setup.

i had a piece of wood (its was the top of an old highway post with a slit cut out),
it was weathered
and i had flat rocks stacked on the other end of her enclosure.
After about three weeks of observing her i found she NEVER went to the rocks and proffered her piece of wood.
as for substrate i did half sand half coconut fibber misted one half once a week.
kept it about 80 degrees.

Sweet lookin setup mate?

Any idea if a 30cm cubed exo terra viv would be too big for a flat rock thats only like 1.5-2 inches long excluding tail, i fancy rehoming mine but dunno if that viv would be suitable.
