as a bark scorpion everybody says they need a invert piece of wood to molt
all and i do mean all will only molt under a piece of wood and i have no losses from them molting like that

Maybe it depends on the keeper's environment (temps, humidity, etc). Brian S had about 70% mortality without the bark to molt from -- this percentage dropped drastically when he gave them bark to molt from, and most now molt hanging from the bark.

Maybe the specifics of the environment you're in make a hanging molt unnecessary. I know that with most of mine I find the molt hanging from a vertical surface. *shrugs*

B. jacks are the only "bark" scorpion that don't NEED a vertical piece of wood to molt but they do prefer it to molting on the ground.

I've yet to have a molt on the ground, they always use the bark....
like reptile man siad "safe then sorry"
