It's not one of the partho species, is it?? _________________ If your emperor scorpion stops eating, don't panic. Be nice -- you were a noob once, too "Never ask an engineer to explain something, because he will."

| Yessir it is. My lid was unsecure and california weather might just treat it right but I doubt it survived the winter. |

| After seeing how the USDA feels about another certain group of parthenogenic arthropods, this is probably the only time I hope that a scorp died. _________________ If your emperor scorpion stops eating, don't panic. | The winter was pretty cold this year I'm positive it died. Can't say much about the escape other than...it was my fault really. But I got it at 2I and found a molt months ago so it would be at 3I still pretty small to survive such temps. |

| Hi, because of a recently published paper by Professor W. Lourenco Tityus falconensis is a junior synonym of T. magnimanus. You should relabel your enclosure For further information read the paper: Lourenco, W. R. (2008). Description of Tityus (Atreus) neblina sp. n. (Scorpiones, Buthidae), from the 'Parque Nacional do Pico da Neblina', in Brazil/Venezuela, with comments on some related species. Boletin Sociedad Entomologica Aragonesa 43:75–9. And Tityus magnimanus is NOT parthenogenetic. |
