| Does anyone have a screenshot of the The Scorpion King during the scene with the crushed scorpion telsons and arrowhead? If there's other scenes with scorpions in them (it's been a while since I saw it), those would also be helpful.

| I'm writing a report on the conservation of scorpions and was starting out by discussing the negative image portrayed in the media; mostly I wanted to confirm if it was a harmless emp that they showed as nearly killing that character. _________________ If your emperor scorpion stops eating, don't panic. | My reviews | My Bug Pictures | My blog Be nice -- you were a noob once, too "Never ask an engineer to explain something, because he will." |

| It is really sad (I know I get really bummed when they kill scorps in movies) but you have to look at it from the filmmaker's point of view. "Harmless" scorpion, big, scary looking, a lot more intimidating and it's very visible on screen... Maybe they should put a warning at the end... |

| No, scorpio, it's from the first one. I haven't seen the sequel.
If someone can just confirm that it was indeed emps, that should work for me. _________________ If your emperor scorpion stops eating, don't panic. | My reviews | My Bug Pictures | My blog Be nice -- you were a noob once, too "Never ask an engineer to explain something, because he will." |

| found this lil bit of ino for ya mike
"Because of its docile nature and mild venom, the emperor has been used in movies such as 1999's The Mummy and The Scorpion King from 2002. As there are currently no laws in the United States protecting invertebrates from abuse or death, their use in the film industry can involve alleged mistreatment."
So yes it was an emp |

| I was aware of that line on the Wiki article for scorps, but I'd forgotten about it. Thanks. _________________ If your emperor scorpion stops eating, don't panic. | My reviews | My Bug Pictures | My blog Be nice -- you were a noob once, too "Never ask an engineer to explain something, because he will." |
