Firstly many thanks to Ray from the BTS for sorting these for me

here's the new additions

Heterometrus Beccaloniae (not sure of sex yet until i have a better look later, but would hazard a guess at male



Heterometrus sp. 'Yellow legs!' Breeding pair
Male

Female


Alex... you appear to be the resident het man... any idea's on the 'yellow legs'

and the yellow look like Heterometrus madraspatensis

I thought thats what they were but there are a couple of het sp. with yellow legs so i wanted to be sure

they definetly look like 'em, there are almost Identical to any other photos i've seen.


same granulation, metasome, etc.

no madraspatensis primary colour is reddish brown to reddish black... these are blue/greenish black like emps.

They are similar though

it may be that they are madras' but there's something that isn't quite right and i cant quite put my finger on it.

just been looking on mes scorpions and there are quite a few that have yellow legs.

It's weird because under the camera the colour looks red-black, but in natural light they have that emperor look to them

The only one I know of with yellow legs is H. swammerdami, and you'd know if that's what it was 'cause they're massive.
