Finally my Desert Hairy eats!....again

Okay so after a month later since her last cricket and after she dug her whole burrow I decided to see if she was hungry. (she had her pinchers open in the middle of the burrow looking outside the burrow) I put a cricket in the enclosure and guided the cricket into the burrow and WHAM she grabbed hold and wouldnt let go. At first she started to eat it before she stung it but it spazzed and then she did sting it. It was pretty cool to see her eat since I actually have only seen her eat one other time. I couldn't get pics since she was in her burrow =\

BUT, I dont know how long this will last since she STILL hasn't molted yet! I've had her since Junish and nothings different... Once she comes out i'll look at her sides again to see if she is any closer...

Yeah she probably will since she hasnt molted yet -.- This is a longggg pre-molt...

If she's eating, she's probably not in premolt. I don't call it premolt unless you can see tergites developing through the membrane. It's easy to think one's in premolt when they're just fat, though.

I'll try to find the pic. of her side where you can see the tergites but idk. Shes been really fat though since i bought her and her plates on her back are spread but other times they wont be...
