| "Desert flat rock" isn't even a valid common name . . .
What you have is Centruroides vittatus, the most widespread species of scorpion in the US. It looks like you've got a female. There's a chance she may be gravid -- most WC females are. Adults are quite communal but juveniles are cannibalistic.
Make sure you give her some vertical climbing spaces / hides. This is a bark scorpion and they tend to prefer that. Also offer a bit of humidity but keep it on the dryish side, and keep it warm.
Also, be sure not to get stung. This species is supposed to pack a wallop (but it's not dangerous).

| They reach about 2.75" (7cm) as adults, so if it's roughly that size, I'd say that it's reached maturity and will not grow anymore. | |

| We don't know how big it is . Put something for size comparison. It looks like an adult to me but maybe what you were looking at were the males with bigger tails. | |

| So that bigger one must of been a male or something. I dont know. I just choose this since it looked younger but I might of made a big mistake. | |

| being one of the two sexes in scorpions doesn't effect life span, as it would in spiders, in scorpions.
and Venom, this is a perfect example of the triangle lol.

That's exactly what I told you in my first post . . . Anywho, the males have longer tails but the body size is about the same. Getting a female is never a mistake; there's a chance she could be gravid and give you LOTS of scorpions.

| I guess I could ask this but are Centruroides vittatus agressive? Also how bad is there toxic? Is it worse than a bee or wasp sting? | |

| So do they forsure hurt more than a bee sting or a wasp?? Or does it depend on the person? But do most people say it hurts more than any bees? | |

| It depends on the person. I got stung by a bee when I was a little kid(and now everytime I hear one I have to cover the back of my neck) and I remember it hurting like hell. Of course I was about 5 years old. I've been stung multiple times by P.imperator and H.paucidens who sting is suppose to be equal to a bee and it didn't hurt at all. Just dont touch it. | |

| I agree with Abyss but most of the time, because they are Buthid(idk how to spell it or if i'm saying it right) scorpions their sting would probably hurt more than a bee or wasp for the average person. | |

| Just be careful and you won't need to worry about how bad the sting is | |

| What kind of things will make the Scorpion want to use his tail? Like if I put my finger close to him will he attack? Or are they very nice and won't harm you unless you hurt them or something. | |

| Common sense would tell you not to stick yout finger in front of ANYTHING with two claws and a tail with a sharp venom injecting stinger. | |
