There is very beautiful wildlife. A lot of fantastic fishes and other creatures.

Red sea wildlife Cheilinus_undulatus_850
It is Cheilinus undulatus. I've seen a big one. It was larger than me, maybe 100 kg. It can reach even150-200kg.

Giant grouper.
Red sea wildlife Epinephelus_lanceolatus_vicky_newman_450

Red coral grouper.

A kilogram is about 2.2 pounds, so that big one? 400 kg = 880 lbs.

I have no idea.

My parents ran a pet store with tropical and fresh water fish (along with reptiles and verts). Sadly, they closed it down in '98 because it wasn't making enough money. We had a lot of stuff throughout the years. We've even had small sharks (I got to hatch them myself before--pretty cool), octopi (as shown above), sting rays, flounders, puffer fish, lion fish, snake heads (mean things with heads hard as steel that can break glass), koi, piranhas, ... the list was endless.

So, yeah... I've grown up around a lot of different types of animals and got to interact with them first hand Smile

Giant groper also is dangerous to men. But I didn't see it. The largest fish in the wild I have seen was Cheilinus undulatus.
