A scorpions body freeze up if it is suddenly placed in really cold water?
I was changing the water in the water dish and when I put it back in and closed the lid the scorp got a little fright and ran into the water dish. all of a sudden it went absouletly STILL. I took it out and it was completely frozen up... I got the forecepts and moved it's legs about and it didn't react I could move it's body parts about and it would stay the way I left it. I just checked on her and she's back in her hide, I nudged her a wee bit and she can move fine again.
I think it must have frozen up her (muscle?) tissue or nerves or summink... it was strange.
