New tarantula to come! Swapsies!!

Well as you know I had 4 male spitzeri's, so advertised two of them. Had a guy on BTS offer a swap for an adult female Ornithoctanus aureotibialis. Recently discovered in 2005.

Think that was a good swap personally! It's absolutely beautiful! Receiving her next week

I got one as a freebie a while back but it died a month or so after. It was tragic considering how beautiful it was. That's an awesome trade you made. It's going to be like a haplopelma basically. Total pethole. The orange hairs on the legs are gorgeous though so it's definitely worth it. *Cry* I miss mine now. Good luck with yours!

Good luck! Lori got a pair of "Ornithoctonus sp." and mated them, but then the male died after cohabiting for a few weeks, and then the female died of mysterious ailments during a molt.

awesome! beautiful tarantula. there seems to be a lighter colour morph and a darker one...

We have learned to turn the lights out early so all the pet holes come out. we have a torch and we observe them from across the room. So at least we get to see them lol.

The guy were getting her off seems to have had her a while with no problems, but duly noted about the deaths, forwarned is forarmed.
