PostSubject: New and unique enclosures   9/5/2008, 2:23 am

I bought these cheese-block-shaped enclosures today for a buck a piece. It has a rotating carousel that they all fit flush with. My mom actually already had it! I'm planning on using them for my 5 B. jacksoni. They're absolutely perfect! It's probably the coolest setup that I could find. I'm gonna drill some air holes in them tomorrow (5x for each lid). It's gonna be a pain because I want them perfect -- but it'll work! The lids are secure but come off pretty easily, so I won't knock anything over or startle them too much when I open 'em. They're bigger than the current enclosures for my 4i B. jacksoni's.

What do you guys think? Very Happy

I thought you'd guys would like em! I think they're antiques, though... Oops. Now they have holes in the lids lol.

Pics of them in them will be up tonight hopefully. I need to get more paper for my Dymo labeler so I can label the names/#'s.

This is just too sweet of a find... Then my mom had the carousel! It was a match made in heaven Razz

Well, whatever it is, it's old Razz

I didn't feel like charging the drill battery for a 1/2 hour, so I took the blow torch, heated up a screw driver, and poked holes in the lids. I probably would've cracked it with the drill anyway.

I need label paper. I guess that I'll just write the scorp's # (1-5) on the bottom of each piece in Sharpie. I like to keep track of each individual scorp.

you dont crack them if you use something like a dremmel!

Used to crack lids all time with drill and small drill bit. but you can manage the downward pressure easier on something as small as a dremmel!

Lol I don't know where our dremel is. I was gonna try and stick a regular drill bit in our table router haha but I don't think that would work.

I used the drill on it last night. It was easy since I had all of these ugly melted holes in it Razz

I had the substrate in it. Now I just have to write the #'s on the bottom and then put the little guys in.

Thanks guys Very Happy

Ya, they seem to be settling in alright.

@Carl: I used a blowtorch to heat up a screwdriver to melt holes in it. Then to get the holes perfect after that, I used a drill Smile
