Going to molt soon you think?

Here's my 4i emp I've had for at least 7-8 months now. I last fed her about a week ago and now she's not eating and her plates seem to be seperating. Does it look like a pre-molt to you?





Btw, she's on a flat piece of glass not curled downwards or anything.

looks like it to me, because like you said the plates are seperating altho shes not eating

Oh and I forgot to mention she's not wandering around her tank at night like she usually does.

I hope she molts soon! I want to introduce her to my other emps!

i think you have a little more time to wait. They kind of turn a different color before they molt, but soon.

Not just yet. A little while to go. she doesnt look like a balloon. Bit more time.

Damn am I good! She just molted. I looked in to check on her and I saw something out of place and what do you know! An excuvium!

But...the last moult will take forever! thats if she only has 6 and not 7 moults hehehe

Im waiting for me 4I's to moult but they are taking their time. I dont even bother to check anymore as when they do it...it will be a nice suprise...also the wait is annoying hehehe

I'm not so sure that she's a 5i. Seems kinda small.. I'm thinking she's in 4i now.

Yup, she's on her own. My other two emps are 5i and 6i.

For size comparison in the excuvium pic, it's about an inch from the tail to the corner of the glass.
