I have had my hadrurus arizonensis for over a month now and she still will not eat! I don't no whats wrong with her. I don't think shes in pre-molt because her plates are not spread apart. She is fat though... I don't know what to do.

If it's fat, it isn't going to starve. Stop worrying.

she will be fine! my Iomachus Politus didnt eat for nearly 2 months and then had one cricket and now she isnt feeding again!

Your scorpion could also be gravid and why she doesnt want to feed!
But if you know to be male, please dont stress. Scorpions do DO this...a LOT

Just make it 2 weeks now until you offer food. If still refuses, wait a week. If still refuses wait another 2 weeks...so on and so forth *thats what I do*

quite a dark one! could it be H spadix? i think there are a couple different coloured subspecies, darker and lighter, and can't remember how it all works.
nice scorpion anyway!

she is fat...i wouldn't worry just yet!
they are hardy and long lived...

from what i've heard, they like to burrow quite deep in the wild, away from heat...but mine seems to do fine with just corkbark to hide under...but could be yours wants to dig a bit

That's arizonensis -- spadix doesn't have the yellow triangle between the eyes.

The people at the pet store said they fed her every other day so that may be why she hasnt been eating but it still doesnt explain why she'll eat at the pet store and not here. The temps, and humidity are all right except...I need to change the ground out because it's excavator clay so it can't get the humidity it wants...what would be good for sub. for a desert hairy?

Excavator clay is great (best is 30% that, 70% regular sand). DON'T PANIC if it's not eating -- they probably stuffed her stupid at the pet store and now she won't eat until she molts or loses some weight.

Well I mean all it is is excavator clay and we put it in water and now it's hard as a rock... But I made a hill with the clay and dug out a cave in the hill so shes in there alot and under a piece of bark i bought at the pet store most of the time.
