ok i went out out to the store and bought a black light so when i got home i saw that it worked great so i went to go take a pic of my emp glowing green and the green did not show up in the pics even without the flash on , whats going on here does anybody know why?

I dont have a black light and have never taken any pictures under black light. sorry.

Black lights also should <not?> be on scorpions for a long time as it can damage them

I meant to say and thought I had... "dont have a black light on them for a long period of time because it doesnt do them any good"

for photography is fine. What kind of camera do u use. Maybe the uv is weak.

Mine didn't pick it up too well either.
Try setting the ISO higher or something...

Most cameras only show the blue when photographing a scorp under blacklight . . . for an "automatic" camera, be sure to hold it extra-still (maybe bracing it on something) and making sure the scorpion doesn't move while having the flash turned off.

Turning off the flash in low light really increases the exposure time, so it's necessary to have a stationary subject.

if you get a strong enough light it will even work when the lights are on

yeah i think its because the light i use is only a 75 watt black light bulb
