That would be my suggestion. Use 1/3 or less Excavator. Mix it and the sand up, pack it down wet, and give it a few days to dry out.

To help encouraging a burrow, dig a shallow depression next to / under a flat rock.

Actually the dirt I use is from the desert. You can get it at your local home improvement store or your backyard. Just make sure that it has no pesticides. If it is from your backyard I would recommend baking it first.

NO!!!! It get way to hard. I hope he's out of the humidity already. Get that done first. Then just put him in regular sand for the time being you can get it at home depot. Escavator sand is not neccesary but makes for great non collapsing burrows. 1/3 escavator sand.

shes out of the humidity and i guess im screwed cuz i already put the excavator sand in but i made burrows already my self with a deli cup.

The problem with that is it wont keep humidity like it they like it. I suppose what you can do now is add about another 3 inches of sand to that and just lightly mist under the hides make sure you offer it 2-3 hides and only mist under 1.
