Hi all,
I am sitting in Letaba Camp in the Kruger National Park. A quick scout with my torch has revealed Opistocanthus Asper's by the dozens. In an area of approximately 750m2 I have counted over 80 (stopped counting) of varying sizes nestled in the Mopani trees waiting for there next meal. Wish I had a stronger torch to illuminate a wider are so take a time exposure.
The bad news. They are one of two protected scorpions in South Africa, so none will be going home with me. But they are protected for a reason, they are easy to collect an so people do decimating populations.
Cheers
