I am a complete beginner to scorpions and have been given these two to keep as pets. I know they are young (around a month perhaps) and with their tales stretched out they are about 4 or 5 inches long. I was given them in Vietnam (where I live)

At 4-5 inches those are certainly older than a month, those are several years old. As to what species, I'm not versed enough in Asian forest scorpions to help out with that.

They look to be either Heterometrus petersii or Heterometrus laoticus. I would need clear, close up pictures of the carapace to make a positive ID. The gender of the scorps may also help.
